My Tribute to Friendship
"The most I can do for my friend is simply to be his friend. I have no wealth to bestow on him. If he knows that I am happy in loving him, he will want no other reward. Is not friendship divine in this?"
- Henry David Thoreau
"The world would be so lonely, in sunny hours or gray. Without the gift of friendship, to help us every day."
- Hilda Brett Farr
"In a friend you find a second self."
- Isabelle Norton
"I do not wish to treat friendships daintily, but with the roughest courage. When they are real, they are not glass threads or frost-work, but the solidest thing we know."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Friendship? Yes Please."
-Charles Dickens

Over the weekend...
My parents treated us to a fabulous belated birthday dinner for Greg at Four Winds Ranch and Steakhouse in Wills Point. Numerous people have said it is the best steak they have ever had, and we agree! We had a lovely time, and here are some photos. Hope your weekend was as tasty as ours!!!

Mr. and Mrs. Moreman Go To Washington
Sometimes my job has perks, and this is a good perk! They are sending me to a foundation conference in Washington DC! The conference is at the Gaylord National, which will be brand spanking new in May! Woo hoo!
We leave for DC on May 3rd, and the conference starts the next day and lasts until noon on Wednesday. After the conference, we are going to switch over the the historical Omni hotel in Dupont Circle- which my DC travel guide Jaran said was a fun area. I got the world's greatest deal on Hotwire for the hotel- which means more shopping, fun dining and a trip to the spa! Greg is joining me for the entire trip! He is going to make himself busy while I am at my conference by visiting the Spy Museum, Library of Congress and other places Jenny doesn't mind skipping out on.
I have already talked to our congressman's office and they are working on tours of the White House and the Capital for us. I am a planning freak when it comes to vacations. I like to know everything about everything when I go somewhere. I don't necessarily have to have everything planned out when I get there, but I like to be an information guru when we want to do something.
If you can't tell, I am pretty excited. Greg and I had an amazing time in San Francisco last year for a similar conference, so I have a feeling this one will be just as good if not better!

Greg Turned 31! Woo Hoo!
We started off the evening at a romantic dinner at Villa Montez, and then it was home for cake and presents. We had a great time!
As promised- here are the pictures. Yeah! I think he really liked that I picked a blue dog theme. Greg doesn't know what Blue's Clues is- so he was pretty impressed that I found a blue dog balloon! Notice the chair he is sitting in, that was his big prize. He is a happy boy!

A Little Reflection on 2007 and Some Hope for 2008
What an amazing year it has been! I can't tell you how much one year can change an entire outlook on life! I found out who true friends are, and how to really love someone when they need you most. I've also learned to be happy with myself now, and who I am becoming. I even got to help bring a new life into the world! Truly Amazing!!!
Another blessing this year has been my sweet new dog Oscar. I can't tell you what a good friend he has been to me- not to mention a work out motivator! Whoever thinks of their dog as just a dog must not have a dog like Oscar. So much unconditional love and trust- I love him!
I am excited to see what 2008 has in store. I feel like my life is headed in the right direction, and I need to keep my faith in Christ and know that He is in control. My wish for this year is that my loved ones are happy and healthy. I also hope to spend more time with my Greg and travel the world with him!
It has been a crazy year, but the sun is rising and it is going to be a great 2008!
