Don't Be Tardy for the Party- ohhhhhh oh oh ooooh

Last night Greg's firm had a big party to celebrate the groups success on a huge project they just finished up. They had all of the lawyers, their spouses and the rest of the staff out for dinner at Villa Montez. The weather was AMAZING and they set up tables for us outside. It was so much fun! The food was wonderful, the company was a LOT of fun and the pineapple mojitos (and tequila shots) were flowing. I did not partake in the shots- just FYI- but it was funny to see who did! I sure hope this group has a Christmas party- we had a GOOD time!
Here is a fun but blurry pic one of the girls took last night. This is one of the firm's head, Brian Craft with me and Greg. I swear I only had 2.5 mojitos! There are a LOT of classes there, but not all mine :)

What to Wear...

Update:
Would this work, or is it to casual? I just got it in the mail today. I love it regardless!

Greg and I have a wedding to go to next Saturday. I am having the HARDEST time coming up with what to wear. Most of my good wedding outfits are perfect for the spring and summer. It is BARELY fall, still hot and Greg, of course, has no idea how formal or informal the event will be... I never saw the invite. He says it is just an ordinary wedding. It is at night though...

Anyone have any suggestions for me? Keep in mind- I am not a strapless girl.

Chicken Tortilla Soup and Neiman Marcus Cookies

I had a chef Jenny weekend! I always start to cook more in the fall. I get inspired!

I often make Greg's hard working office treats. On Saturday night around 11pm I got motivated to bake! These cookies are a favorite. They are the Neiman Marcus cookies! SO GOOD! I think the lawyers like them because they have coffee in them! I always send them to work in Greg's UT platter of course :)

This soup was seriously tasty on a rainy football Sunday! I got the recipe from the AWESOME October Food Network Magazine... the soup is on the cover. It's called spicy tortilla #11.

I added a can of crushed tomatoes b/c it seemed too onion-y, roasted red peppers and extra spicy seasonings. I topped it with sour cream, blue corn chips, cilantro, a little cheese and avocado. I baked the chicken in the oven. It was good and if you don't over do the cheese and sour cream it is VERY healthy!

Mad Props and a Dash of Glam

To my friend Tish for putting me in her article! Check it out!

Also, working on some stuff to land a fun job at Artifex. Here is a quick sketch I did for the designers. Glam! I love painting fancy women. I mean seriously? How fun! I get to paint on lipstick, blush and eyeshadow... oh my! I hope I get the job so I can do more!

After searching high and low- I found our new sofa! Now I just have to pick a color. Hopefully it won't be as hard! Then I have to start my search for the perfect chair to compliment the sofa... this furniture thing is tough.
