The owner of Caffe Tazza, Jane Keller, told me she was looking for a couple of matching gold and white paintings for her home. At the show Thursday, she had on the most gorgeous color gold top and mixed with all sorts of gold crystal and beaded necklaces. She totally inspired me to paint these two abstracts. They are hers if she wants them, otherwise they are $400 each if anyone is interested. They are both 30"x40", and if no one buys them I might have to redo my living room! Sorry about the poor photos, I will take better ones outside tomorrow. They are still damp.

I had an AMAZING turnout at my show on Thursday! I love seeing everyone!! My family always comes and my sweet friends always come support me. Caffe Tazza also makes the BEST latte I've ever had, an oh so tasty cheese plate and the most AMAZING carrot cake ever! Greg and I even went back this morning. It is our favorite place to go!
YUM! The ceramic hand-painted Italian coffee cups add so much luxury to their tasty lattes!
Me and my greatest supporter- my hubby!
Me and Tish! Love her hair and that she walks around with library books! :)

All Done!
I finished the Valentino purse and took it to the Women's Fund event committee meeting yesterday. They loved it! I am so excited to help! It will go on their save the dates, invites, program and then auctioned off at the actual event. The Women's Fund is kind of like Junior League, but no volunteering and more money donation. They do great things for our community!
I'll do my art show post tomorrow! It went GREAT!

Busy Girl
I have an art show tomorrow, always a busy time. Somehow I agreed to also do a painting for the Women's Fund in Tyler. It is going to be their invite to their luncheon, and then the painting will be auctioned off at the event. It is due tomorrow- show day! So fun... I am enjoying painting it though! Here is a preview!
Yes, it is the Valentino purse I have been in love with for awhile. I figured it has roses all over it, so it was very Tyler-ish!
Now I just need to finish it and figure out the background color. Then I need to paint for my show!
Busy Jenny.

New Wild Buffalo and NYLO Hotel Las Colinas'Grand Opening!
This is my new Wild Buffalo Painting. He likes that I made him wild.
On Thursday, my mom and I headed out to Las Colinas for the NYLO Hotel's big opening. Such fun!
Here is my winning Longhorn happily hanging in their bar/lobby entrance.
I figured I would match my painting...
If you notice the white table with the girl in the middle- it was like the table was her skirt. Crazy.
I loved the pool :)
and these red lights!
This is Nicole Marrow's work. She also runs the Rising Gallery where I will be showing in Dallas next year.
Ice NYLO
I want this chair...
Mom wants one too!
Coolest computer desk EVER!
NYLO was awesome. It is the neatest hotel ever! So modern and eclectic!

Whirl of a Weekend and an Update!
Well, I still stink as a blogger! I traveled a lot last week. I have been a very busy girl! On Monday I went on the world's fastest trip to Houston to pick up my artwork from the show. Sorry to those in Houston I didn't get to visit with. :( I had to get back for a meeting in Tyler that night. 10 hours in the car is super BLAH, but I did listen to the awesome book The Secret Life of Bees. I loved it!
I worked during the week on art stuff, and then Friday I headed to Salado, TX for an art show that I got juried into. I love Salado, wish I could have shopped! This was the other longhorn in the show- super cool!
I think I landed a solo show there, so maybe I will get to visit again! After the show I spent the night with the Dr. Steven and Tamber Jones family in Waco. Steven is Baylor's newest and coolest Latin prof. The entire Jones family was there- good times! I am sad I didn't get to stay longer in Waco too. I did visit the art department. Lots of memories there! Some good, some ehh, but so glad to visit!
After my short visit to central Texas I headed to Canton for my awesome dad's 59th birthday! Happy Birthday Dad!! We had a great time! He is into working out, so Greg and I got him a little blue ipod shuffle for the gym. I think he liked getting a toy and not all clothing! He is little Alison's favorite person besides her mama. Dad is the baby girl whisperer! He even fed her her very first ice cream! So sweet! Happy birthday dad!
Somewhere in there I painted Crazy Owl for the NYLO Hotel in Las Colinas grand opening art auction benefiting Make A Wish Foundation. I am headed out there on Thursday night if anyone wants to join! Just email me!
My new Audrey Hepburn coffee mug gets me through my day. So does my totally awesome and supportive husband who puts in countless extra hours in the office so I can live my dream. He is amazing, and I wish everyone had someone who believed in them like I do. I am blessed with his love!

Whirl of a Whirl
Last Tuesday I headed to Dallas for a hair cut and dinner with some old friends. On my way home, I picked up my 2 sweet girls, Sarah 3 and Katie 9, for a couple of days with Aunt Jenny and Uncle Greg! We did A LOT!
Aunt Jenny taught Piano Lessons...
We had pancakes for breakfast...
Chocolate chip pancakes with powdered sugar and syrup- of course...
We made cookies for Greg's law firm...
Yum-yum
They turned out GREAT!
We went school clothes shopping...
and went a little crazy with gymnastics gear- they both take gymnastics...
Aunt Jenny painted toes...
with fancy crystal flowers of course...
We went to the pool with the Jones'
and had some seriously tasty snow cones...
We slumber partied for 2 nights. I wore them out, and vice versa!
