Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeen!
Such a fun holiday! I love Halloween! I think I am going to just stay home with the hubs and watch a movie and pass out candy- but I still love it! I might dress up to open the door... I tend to like to dress up!I went to an art show at Caffe Tazza last night for John Randall York. I loved his whimsical Halloween stuff! I purchased a cute little print of an artist fairy. Here is not so fabulous picture of it, but you get the idea. The pictures above are also his work. His website has more... I like its playful nature! It makes me want to draw fun little fairies and pumpkins!!! Check it out!!!

Ouch.
J-List: Fancy Fancy Edition
Sometimes I just like to be fancy. Here are somethings that are "Fancy Fancy" to me!
The Aviary Handmade Cushion by bridgetdavies on ETSYBridget's designs are OH so sweet! I'd love one for our bedroom... granted the fancy puppies might not do it any good!
Little Black Dress with Lace from Banana Republic
Everyone needs a little black dress... why not have a "Fancy Fancy" one??
Mirrored Jewelry Box from Z GallerieThis reminds me of all of the beautiful mirrored antique art deco furniture I love...
Glam Sofa from Lorin MarshNo, I will never pay that much for a sofa... I have a feeling it is rather pricey, BUT it would be "Fancy Fancy" in my light and dark pink striped massive walk-in closet that I also don't have. Reminds me of the one Andrea used in Top Design for her Light It Up episode with the Swarovski Crystal chandeliers.Fancy Fancy!
Limoncello Necklace from Anthropologie.
I fell in love with this necklace a couple of weeks ago. It is such a statement! I would wear it with my navy wrap dress... "Fancy Fancy!" Reminds me of lemon drop candies!
Holly Golightly Breakfast at Tiffany's Sleep Mask I saw this in the November Elle and told Greg I needed it for my stocking. Anyone who knows me would know I am a super fan of Breakfast at Tiffanys. This is fabulously fancy!
Fancy Nancy Books at Barnes and Nobles
I got the Fancy Nancy books for my niece Katie. She adores them. I love them too! Fancy Fancy Nancy!
Have a Fancy day!!!

Whirl of a Weekend... Again!
Well, I told myself I was going to rest this weekend. It so didn't happen! Well, at least not on Saturday! I had a BLAST though!
Friday night Greg and I headed to On the Border for a little romantic night out. Then we went to Target. If any of you know Greg- this is HUGE! He hates to shop! I lured him with the chance of buying a new Wii game. We didn't buy one, but he was a good sport when I picked out new tights!
On Saturday I woke up rather early and headed out to Dallas. I had to run a few errands before I attended my dear friend Jessica's bridal shower! I had a fantastic time and even won the unscramble wedding words game! Holla! I got a cute little flower plant as my prize!
After Jess's shower I met Dr. Heidi Edmondson, I will always call her Dr. b/c I am so proud of her! We went to the oh so tasty Grand Luxe at the Galleria and then walked around Pottery Barn- where we got a little camera happy! We loved this cute little owl candle...
and this awesome orange rug!
I headed home after that and didn't do much during the day on Sunday trying to recover from my crazy Saturday. Sunday night however, Greg and I had an oh so romantic dinner on our patio! It is the start of our anniversary week, and when we first started dating he wooed me with his homemade fajitas. So, last night he made fajitas and we sat outside on our patio and ate by candlelight. It was the most romantic meal ever! We had our puppies with us and the beautiful East Texas trees all around us! We even had a telescope for some stargazing after dinner- granted it didn't work very well b/c of all of the massive East Texas trees. Oh well, it was a nice idea! Such a great start to Year #3 for us! We want to do it again for our actual anniversary, which is on Wednesday.
All and all- another great weekend! Next weekend I am staying home though! I am behind on my cleaning and painting!!! I did paint this fun little bass fish last week for a charity silent auction and fishing tournament. I like him! I hope he makes them lots of money!!!

Happy Birthday Courtney! It was the Texas Rose Festival this weekend- so of course I had to make a trip to the Rose Garden on Sunday evening. You get a bazillion beautiful free roses at 5:00pm when they clear out the decor from inside! These are the Judy Garland Roses- a crowd favorite!

Some of my FREE roses!
I also squeezed in one more rose garden painting for my Caffe Tazza show to fill up some of my happy sold spots...

J-List: Happy Things Edition
I feel that all of these little things are happy. I hope you think so too.
Starbuck's Reactive Stars Mug: This is my current work coffee mug. After a night of a little Woody puppy curled up in my back and a million rose painting must do's in my mind keeping me up- it made me happy this morning.
Nest of Bowls: I like colorful things in the kitchen. I don't know if I would be able to keep them so neatly nested, but I bet I would try!
Cherry Blossom Rug: I am always searching for a good rug, and Pottery Barn makes them!
Analiese Taper Holders: I think these are romantic. I feel like getting a few and redecorating our mantle.
Spooky Buckets: Just in time for Halloween! I think one of these would be fun on the porch to greet the trick or treaters!
Recycled Flower Metal Hooks: Love these! They would look great in my kitchen. A bit vintage inspired and very colorful- I can see our dog's raincoats hanging on them along with their leashes!
Mermaid Cuff Bracelet: How awesome is this? Ever since the Little Mermaid came out, I think most girls have pretended to be a mermaid once or twice (or a bazillion times.) I know I spent many a childhood afternoon with a diving ring around my feet singing "Part of Your World" with my little friends swimming around the pool!
