The J List- Cheap to Chic Edition
I have started adding editions to my J List- I might grow tired of this, but so far so good!
Macaroni Grill at Home! I couldn't find a better picture- but this woman tried it too!
I came across this little tasty treat at Walmart on Sunday. They had all sorts of Macaroni Grill favorites in easy home meal kits! I was a little skeptical, normally take home meal kits stink- but I love Macaroni Grill, and they had a Chicken Marsala- a very favorite of mine! I made it last night, and wow it was wonderful! It was so easy! I just had add the chicken, it had everything else in it! It says it feeds 5, but it could probably feed 3 or 4. It was really really good! I got the Chicken Penne too and will cook it later this week!
L'Oreal Bare Naturale Face Powder, Nude Glow
I was feeling a bit blah this weekend after my foot surgery, so I decided to make my self feel better by a trip to the make up dept. on a grocery store run. I have always been intrigued by the Bare Minerals infomercial, but I have never purchased anything. I was excited to see that L'Oreal came out with their own line! I snatched up the Nude Glow- for a bronze shimmer. I really liked it. I put it on all of my normal sun kissed spots and it was very light and natural looking.
Paisley kimono-sleeve dress at Banana Republic
I think I found the birthday dress! I might also wear it to my Japanese inspired art show on July 17th at Caffe Tazza. I love it!
Coach Ergo Metallic Leather Pleated Frame Satchel
I am "Coached Out" as Greg says, but I couldn't resist posting this little shiny gem! I love it. For anyone who is not "Coached Out," I highly recommend this one!
Open-Toe Passementerie Pump by Christian Louboutin
I have to admit, I am not a HUGE shoe person. I do love shoes, but handbags have a slight advantage to shoes in my book. These shoes, might give my love of handbags a run for their money! How sweet or they! I could totally see these with a fabulous little black dress or even with jeans. I am in love... dream on Jenny! At $1,125.00 a pair- it is not going to happen! Oh to dream!
That is all!

Canton Antiques
A friend sent me an e-mail about something, and it made me think of my parent's company Canton Antiques. I think I have been kind of numb to how beautiful their stuff really is! I see it all the time and am used to it I guess, but wow my dad is turning out some beautiful work!
What they do is take old rough antique vanities, and restore them to their original beauty and outfit them for a bathroom sink. They fix the drawers and waterproof everything so it is all still functional.
Anyways, I just think they are really cool. I am proud to say that my dad made these! Who would have thought that after a computer business for 20+ years he would start an amazing antique company? Not I!
He also has a line of country and rustic stuff- too cute for log cabins and lake houses!
They ship all over the world too- just FYI!
P.S. Pray for me tomorrow- I am having another annoying toe surgery. Super YUCK!

The J List- the shiny penny edition
I like my J List today! See Jane Work Magnetic Birdie
Could this be any cuter? I have to thank Britney Hood for telling me about this wonderful website! I probably could have filled up an entire J List with their goodies! Keep 'em coming!
I got the cutest hand towel for my ultra girlie guest bathroom while I was in Old Town Alexandria/ Washington DC. I got it at the Decorium Gifts and Home. A shop I totally recommend if you are in the area! Anyways, I couldn't find the towel for sale online, but this one is pretty close to it! It is on ETSY. Love it! I am still looking for the original online. She also has some really fun cocktail napkins with wine stains and mustache hankys.
The kisses on mine are a little more placed so they don't look like an accident as much. I will let you know if I find it!
Antique Venetian mirrors. If you have ever been to our home, you would notice that I have about 1 million antique beveled mirrors- but now I am in love with antique Venetian mirrors. If you buy a true antique they are rather pricey, but lots of companies are making reproductions at a fraction of the cost. I love the antique ones, so I am still on the hunt for one. I just think they are so romantic!
This last one leads me to my next pick- Mirrored Furniture. I love it. It is so chic! It reminds me of the 40's, and I love that art deco Chrysler Building, flapper, feathery stuff! This is just a sample of everything they have at Horchow. I suggest you check it all out! Of course, I prefer antiques, but wow that stuff is off the chart expensive if you can find one! I'd love a mirrored chest in my entry way with all of my antique mirrors. I like shiny!
Okay more shiny, I know... I am a sucker for Banana Republic- but I couldn't resist posting this silk wrap dress in the oh so popular shade of tumeric! What a refreshing summer color! I am still looking for that perfect birthday dinner out dress, maybe it will be this one!
That is all for today! Hope you enjoyed!!!

Cows
I think if more people knew what happens to these animals they would not let the government allow for it to happen. There need to be more rules governing the human treatment of animals for farm animals. I suggest you try to catch the 30 Days show with the hunter and Peta. It was eye opening and it was nice because they showed both views.
Anyways, the eating cows thing has been on my heart for a long time, and last night I made a decision. I will not judge anyone of you who eats meat, but don't be surprised if I pass on the beef fajitas next time we are out to dinner.
Kind of a heavy post, I will do a J List later to make up for it!

I's been Tagged!
1) What was I doing 10 years ago?
10 years ago was June of ‘98, and I was about to turn sweet 16! I was getting myself ready to go on our church choir mission trip to the Bahamas... lucky me!
2) What are five things on my to-do list today?
* Shop online for stuff for the BIRTHDAY
* Coffee with a new friend in the art world at 12:30- weird time for coffee
* Figure out what I am going to cook for dinner- yes, I plan on cooking for once!
* Take Mr. Oscar on a walk
* Tidy up the bedroom
3) What snacks to I enjoy?
I can't turn down blue bell ice cream or wedding cake snow cones.
4) Where are some places I’ve lived?
I am a Native Texas girl! I was born in Dallas, lived in Dallas until I left for Waco, parents moved to Canton in 2001, lived there during the breaks and one year after college until I got married to Mr. Wonderful and moved to Tyler, Texas.
5) What things would I do if I were a billionaire?
I would give away a lot to organizations I believe in and my family and friends. I would of course quit my job, and make Greg quit his and then travel the world. I would also invest a lot and start a Foundation in honor of my family. I would also buy TCA a new art building and have them name it after Mr. Chu and Master Millet :)I tag:

Hooray for FRIDAY!
Last night my super fabulous USTA Lone Star Faulkner tennis team beat Hollytree Country Club to win our region! We are now going to play in Dallas August 8-10th in the finals! We actually have 2 more weeks to play Hollytree, but we beat them 4-0 and it is the best out of six! Yes, we are that good! :) It will be miserably hot, but feel free to come watch us play. I will let everyone know where and when our matches will be. Dallas here we come!!!
My sweet Greg is leaving for a trial in Houston on Saturday. I will miss him very much! He will hopefully be back on Thursday. I will miss you sweet Greg and good luck!

The J List
Okay, kind of bummed because my art website is still not up, so I decided to do a J List! They always cheer me up! Feel free to email me suggestions for the J List- I love all new things!
Courtney Bryson sent me this one- via Dede Harrison. I love it! I already ordered some, and some for a gift!Family Labels! You can put your pets on there too! They have just about every breed of dog you can think of, but they are lacking in the mutt department. I had to make do. I love them though! You can order note pads and cards too! Thanks girls!!
Father's Day is this Sunday, and I always find that my dad is the hardest person to shop for! I don't think my dad reads my blog on a regular basis, so I will share what I got him. He is a crafty guy, so I got him the Fantastic Four 4 Function Ruler Pen!I hope he likes it! He always uses his fancy pen in the wood shop, and I think he recently broke it. I don't have the $$$ to replace that one, but I thought this might be a good alternative to using a fancy pen in the shop.
Well, I stole this one from the O List- thanks Oprah! Goose Rocks Designs Handcrafted Wind Chimes
I tend to like things that look organic like my art, so I loved these! They are just beautiful, and I bet they sound lovely!
If you have ever visited the Moreman Casa in Tyler, you will notice that I am a fan of Tiffany Lamps. Inspired by the art of one of my favorite artists, Louis Comfort Tiffany, these lamps are a tad more affordable than the ones in the museums, but still very beautiful. They add warmth, color and beauty to every room!
That is all for today!

OH!
I am going to be the featured artist at Cafe Tazza on July 17th in Tyler! Every Thursday this summer they are featuring a different artist at the Cafe, and I am July 17th! I am so excited! It will be from 5-9pm, and they will have live music and wine specials. It will be just my work, and I should have about 10 pieces.
I am really excited!
I was also in the May BScene Magazine in Tyler for the Foox show I was in- kind of fun! Here is the ad:
Whirl of an EXTRA LONG Weekend
On Sunday, I did very little. It was lovely.
Monday I ran some more errands, then headed out to Canton for Katie's actual Birthday and spent the afternoon in the pool. I am a little bit red, but I am hoping it turns to tan soon! Greg joined us Monday night to go look at a Cadillac CTS, and he actually bought it! No more orange Corvette. I am pretty happy with that decision! It was rather high maintenance, and hard to get in and out of. I can even drive this once since it is not a manual!I am sad to be back at work today, but it was a wonderful and much needed break. I might need to do it again in July!!!
Tonight I have a Wine event for our Women's Fund. It is already up to $115,225 and has 80 members! Our goal was $100k by November 08!!! WOO HOO!
